What the heck is Lenormand?
Lenormand is an oracle card reading system that originated in France in the 18th century and is named after its creator Madame Lenormand. It's based on much older systems of card divination or cartomancy, in particular playing card divination. Like the tarot, each card is full of symbols and correspondences that are connected into patterns during a reading to answer specific questions or to give a glimpse at how certain energies are moving through your life.
The spread I use for my Lenormand readings is the Grand Tableau or "big picture" which offers a glimpse at a variety of situations and topics surrounding the person receiving the reading. Everything from future, past, to higher goals, foundational energies, and even life-areas like love, relationships, jobs, money, health, and magic.
